Kenedy has been recalled from loan

2. Kenedy

Kenedy has just returned from his loan spell from Flamengo after Chelsea cut short his loan deal and recalled him because of his lack of playing time at the Brazilian club. The Brazilian hadn’t hit the ground running in his homeland.

Chelsea though it might be best to recall him from the loan and send him to a team where regular minutes won’t be hard to come by. Kenedy can operate as a left wing back and it was though initially that the London Blues recalled him to provide cover in the left wing back role but it seems they are open to another loan deal.

Kenedy’s biggest strength is his ability to play in numerous positions across midfield and attack. He can play as a left wide midfielder, a left winger, as a left wing back and even on the left side of a midfield three.

Frank Lampard was with Kenedy for a short span of time, during the 2019-20 pre-season after which the Brazilian left on loan to Getafe. Kenedy is Chelsea’s forgotten man and it seems that he is not getting any closer to cutting into Tuchel’s plans.

Everton can do with Kenedy as an option for the remainder of the season. The Toffees might not want wingers but Kenedy can always be a reasonable option off the bench. With his ability to even play as a wing back, the 25 year old could be an exciting player to watch given his dribbling skills and strong physique.
