Everton manager Frank Lampard has little time in the transfer window to get business done
As the transfer window ticks down in its final day I will take a look at the most likely rumours and which players could be joining or leaving Everton before the window shuts.
Donny Van De Beek is not included as his deal looks to be finalised and be announced quite early tomorrow, probably with Frank Lampard’s official manager announcement also.
Areas that have been identified for incomings are central defence, central midfield and a number ten role to link with the attack.
Outgoings could be limited as Lampard may want to get to know his squad but there could be one possible transfer out involving a first team regular. Everton do want to reduce their wage bill with Cenk Tosun out of contract at the end of the season, but he seems happy to sit and wait for a free transfer in the summer.
During the manager interviews on Friday afternoon, all the candidates were asked for their transfer targets for this window. With Van De Beek already over the line, it seems Lampard has a real connection with people in the game to get deals done, especially as Crystal Palace were already in talks with the Dutch international.
