As Everton prepare for the visit of Manchester City tomorrow there are more speculative rumours of young players being linked with a move to the Blues.

The Daily Mail claim Premier League clubs West Ham, Leicester City and Everton are all tracking Bristol City’s Alex Scott.

Eighteen year old Scott is a major young talent who has been likened to Jack Grealish, a player that may well feature significantly today for Manchester City against the Toffees.

That’s quite a comparison to make to a player who has become an England international and one of the top attacking talents in the Premier League.

Scott is a midfielder who can play deeper in a defensive role or become a more attacking player from the centre of the pitch.

On paper he looks the sort of player that could potentially add to what the Blues’ have in terms of attacking potential, especially if Donny van de Beek returns to Manchester United in the summer.

And, he would be another young footballer who would be added to others recently signed like full-backs Vitalii Mykolenko, Nathan Patterson, centre-half Jarrad Branthwaite and youth team product Anthony Gordon.

As well as Scott, Everton are also being linked with a summer move for Villareal and Holland striker Arnaut Danjuma.

This story comes from our old friends Italian outlet Calciomercato who also ran several other transfer rumour stories involving the Toffees’ yesterday.

Danjuma has been in fine form for the Spanish club and has according to the report, he has attracted the attention of Everton and of course, as usual with these sorts of rumours, West Ham.

The Dutchman certainly seems a pretty good attacking talent and he’s racked up some impressive stats in Spain’s La Liga this season. He also operates wide on the left or through the middle.

Well, more purely speculative stuff of course to pad out media space and it’s very doubtful whether either of these two will be on their way to Goodison Park in the summer.
