Frank Lampard’s Everton welcome Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City

Everton host Manchester City when the two sides are on opposite spectrums of the Premier League. One is jostling forward with their multidimensional pursuit of success and silverware and the other is in grave danger of facing relegation if results don’t turn in their favour.

Perhaps, this is the worst time to face a Goliath-like Man City. Sadly, Everton are no David, based on the current situation. But, in football, nothing is written in stone and Frank Lampard’s men will look to salvage something from this tie.

Taking points off Man City will be seen as a huge success. Even though Manchester City are too intimidating, they are not immortal.
