Allan should replace the injured Fabian Delph in the Everton midfield

Midfield:

Right wing: Anthony Gordon

Anthony Gordon can easily be deemed as the player of the season. Even when Everton were deep down in a crisis, Gordon continued to operate with full energy and intent and never slowed down. Yes, he’s raw and needs polishing but the youngster is setting an example for his elder colleagues through his dedication and giving-it-all attitude.

Central midfield: Allan

With Delph out, Lampard will be forced to make the change and inculcate Allan in the starting lineup. More recently, the Brazilian has spent more time on the bench as Lampard has preferred Delph over the 31 year old.

Allan now has a chance to impress Lampard and make a strong case for himself. The Brazilian will battle it out with Christian Eriksen and Christian Norgaard in the centre of the pitch.

Central midfield: Abdoulaye Doucoure

Abdoulaye Doucoure has been the silent performer for Everton in this relegation battle. While the likes of Iwobi, Richarlison and Pickford enjoy the limelight, Doucoure has managed to remain disciplined and do his job in the middle of the park. With Allan alongside him, Doucoure may enjoy more attacking freedom, allowing him showcase his box-to-box character.

Left wing: Demarai Gray

Demarai Gray remains a threat to the opposition but the game against Watford was where he didn’t click. His passing seemed off and he squandered easy chances. The former Leicester City man will be hoping to produce a strong performance against Brentford and bounce back after a pretty average performance against the Hornets.
