Jordan Pickford was other worldly between the sticks towards the end of the season for Everton
Jordan Pickford
Jordan Pickford showed his true mettle in the fight against relegation this season. His passion and love for the club are second to none, and his performances on the field are a testament to that.
The England shot-stopper was voted man of the match in the 2 crucial games against Chelsea and Manchester United, both of these games ended with the Merseyside outfit keeping a clean sheet. He earned a rating of 8.03 out of 10 in the match against Thomas Tuchel’s side and 7.94 against Ralf Rangnick’s side. (stats via WhoScored)
The former Sunderland goalkeeper has a save percentage of 65.9% along with a post-shot xG of 54.1 and kept 7 clean sheets this season out of which 3 clean sheets were kept in the final few games of the relegation battle.
Pickford has been a brick wall for the Goodison Park side and has helped them avoid relegation this season through his stellar performances. Pickford stepped up and played like a real leader at the back when the club needed him and because of that, we believe that he has played a significant role in Everton’s safety this term.
