Everton are well stacked in the winger department with Demarai Gray, Anthony Gordon and Andros Townsend available. Richarlison has often been deployed on the left wing. However, Everton are still being linked to promising wingers across Europe with Shakhtar Donetsk winger Manor Solomon being the latest player to be linked.

Frank Lampard wants to overhaul the squad this summer and while reinforcing the flanks might not be a priority, Everton will not want to miss out on an amazing opportunity in the transfer market. Solomon is exactly that, an exciting transfer opportunity.

The Shakhtar winger predominantly plays on the left side, a position that is etched with the name of Richarlison currently. However, the Brazilian’s future is uncertain at the club with him sending a bit of a cryptic message through a press conference. Solomon netted four goals and provided two assists.

The 22 year old Israel born player broke into the football scene in 2016-17 season. Since his transfer from Petah Tikva to Shakhtar in 2019, the winger hasn’t looked back. He’s kept on grinding and polishing his game. Solomon is known for his versatility as he’s capable of playing on the left and in the middle. His energy on the ball is superb and never shies away from taking on his robust opponents.

Everton interested in Manor Solomon

Owing to such skills and flair, a number of clubs across Europe have been tracking the Israeli international. According to Tutto Mercato Web, Premier League sides Everton, Arsenal, Southampton, Aston Villa and Brighton remain interested in the winger.

However, none of them are favourites or front runners for the attacker. Torino Sporting director Davide Vagnati is set to meet agents of Solomon this week to discuss a transfer. About a month ago, Fulham were close to completing a deal but the negotiations fell through.

The Fulham deal was that the English side will offer £7.6 million in transfer fees and offer another 15% of any future sale value to the Ukrainian giants. To Solomon, a salary of around £1.25 million annually would have been offered. However, Vaganti will try to convince Shakhtar for a loan deal with a right to redemption. This operation doesn’t excite the Ukrainians as they want a bigger slice of the pie.

This could be a stumbling block to Torino, allowing other interested parties to jump in. As per Tranfermarkt, the 22 year old has a market value of a little over £16 million. If the Toffees can bring the Israeli player to the Premier League, he would be the first player since Yossi Benayoun to play in the Top Flight.

At the moment, this seems to be just paper talk as no concrete reason has been established if Everton will be pushing to sign Solomon but they sure remain interested.
