Everton has been active in reshaping their roster this summer but the club is yet to bring in a game changer such as Armando Broja.

The Toffees have not made many headlines since the sale of Richarlison and with Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s future in question, the club will need to consider an alternative solution to their goal scoring issue.

The solution to this problem could just be a young Albanian who already has experience in the Premier League. Armando Broja is a 20-year old Albanian striker who plays for Chelsea. He had a successful loan spell last season with Southampton and now many clubs including Everton wish to purchase his talents.

Everton are not the only club pursuing Broja this summer and now the Toffees could face bidding competition from abroad. Napoli are the latest club to show interest in purchasing the Chelsea forward according to Inside Futbol and it could take over £25 million to pen a deal.

Everton face stern competition for Armando Broja

Napoli are a club coming off another excellent season. They qualified for the Champions League by placing third in Serie A and made it past the group stage in the Europa League tournament. The club looks to capitalize on their current success and regain some youth while they are still on the top of their game.

Napoli will have plenty of funds to pull off the Broja deal in the coming weeks. The club recently sold one of their veteran players, Kalidou Koulibaly, to fund their youth movement and Broja was heavily discussed during the deal, as per Tutto Mercato Web. Broja would be a smart and relatively safe investment since he has great experience at such a young age. He is only going to improve from here on out.

The bidding for Broja likely starts at £25 million and could soar above £30 million due to fierce competition. The Athletic has reported that West Ham United already put in an offer near that figure and the negotiation could be nearing a signature.

West Ham United had an impressive season in the Premier League finishing seventh on the table and just two points off from a Europa League Qualification. The club is in a similar position to Napoli in that they look to capitalize on their good fortune by purchasing talented youth players.

Broja proved he can compete at the top level by scoring six league goals for Southampton last season. He also fought his heart out in the World Cup qualifiers where he played a part in seven goals in seven matches.

Everton are unlikely to secure Broja because of his price and the need for other positions this summer. Lampard has made it clear he is prioritizing his efforts on the midfield group so £30 million could be beyond his striker budget. West Ham United and Napoli appear to be more serious in their pursuit to acquire Broja but don’t count the Toffees out of the race just yet.
