Everton have been linked to free agent Isco for a while as the Toffees search for reinforcements in the free agent market after failing to acquire a single player in the winter transfer window. With the options scarce in the free agent market, Isco presents to be the best of the lot, a real game-changer.

Everton were looking to sign a striker in January but failed to get a single deal over the line. The Merseysiders then ventured into the free agent market and viewed Andre Ayew as a possible option to bolster the attack. However, the Ghanaian ended up signing for Nottingham Forest after holding talks with Everton and Forest.

Everton than shifted their attention to Isco, who has been a free agent since mutually terminating his contract with Sevilla in December. The Spaniard came incredibly close to signing with Union Berlin on transfer deadline day. He also underwent medical but the move collapsed on the final day and the former Real Madrid man was left stranded without a team.

Since then, Isco has been linked to a number of teams. The Spaniard has been linked with a move to Turkey with Konsyapor’s president claiming that his team were in talks with the 30 year old.

Everton target Isco still without a club as agent gets nervous

Apart from Konsyapor, the Spaniard has also been linked to MLS. Another report suggested that the former Real Madrid man would be open to joining Everton. The 30 year old offered himself to Juventus too but the Bianconeri turned down the idea of signing the player as they were unconvinced by Isco.

Another report suggested that Everton have advanced the talks to sign the free agent and have scheduled a meeting with the player. Now, as per Estadio Deportivo (via Sport Witness), Isco’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is now desperate to find a new club for the Spaniard.

The Toffees are yet to make an offer for Isco as his entourage continues to find the best available solution for the midfielder. All of a sudden, Isco’s options have dried up, causing panic and concern among the player’s entourage.

MLS, China and a few teams like Everton have space in their squad and remain likely options for the 30 year old. His entourage wants to find a club now rather than wait until the summer because waiting till the summer could be detrimental to Isco’s career.

If Everton offer does arrive, the Toffees could be in the driver’s seat when it comes to negotiations as options are drying up for the player.
