Everton have already started working on their summer transfer plans as a number of players have been linked with the Toffees. One of them is Udinese defender Rodrigo Becao who is attracting interest from England and Italy.

Sean Dyche has a demanding task of guiding Everton to safety. If the former Burnley boss does manage to get Everton out of the relegation scrap, he deserves all the backing in the summer transfer window to upgrade this squad so that the Toffees do not fall into the same situation again.

In the winter transfer window, Everton were linked to Udinese striker Beto and centre back Becao. For Beto, Everton launched an offer which was rejected by the Serie A outfit but the Toffees could return for the 25 year old in the summer.

Everton face competition to sign Rodrigo Becao from Udinese

Udinese technical director Pierpaolo Marino claimed that keeping hold of Beto and Becao will be extremely difficult in the summer and they could be sold in the upcoming transfer window. The Toffees are ready to make a double swoop in the summer for the Udinese duo as they aim to improve two positions in one go.

According to Mondo Udinese, Brazilian defender Becao remains a target for Everton. However, the Toffees are set to face competition from two Champions League playing sides. Napoli and Inter Milan are also interested in the 27 year old and a summer departure is on the cards for Becao.

The Brazilian centre back is gearing up for a departure in the summer as his deal also expires in 2024 and Udinese will look to cash in on him in the summer. Inter Milan have been observing him as they look for a replacement to Milan Skriniar who is set to join PSG on a free transfer in the summer.

As for Napoli, they see Becao as a suitable addition to their squad. Kim Min-jae has been in excellent form and could attract mega bids in the summer. If Aurelio De Laurentiis decides to cash in on Min-jae this summer, Becao would be viewed as his replacement.

Everton already have six central defenders in their roster, meanwhile Jarrad Branthwaite is on loan at PSV. Yerry Mina’s deal will expire at the end of the season and could walk out as a free agent in the summer. Mason Holgate’s future is up in the air after playing just 371 minutes of football so far in the 2022-23 season.

If Everton are to seriously pursue a deal for Becao, they will have a tough task of jumping ahead of giants like Inter and Napoli in the race. He is valued at €10 million by Transfermarkt but Udinese are likely to demand a higher fee for the 27 year old.
