Yes another day and another round of transfer rumour and speculation with Everton linked to a number of players, including once again, Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho.

The Foxes player has been mentioned in transfer dispatches before in this window as a possible target for the Toffees, although nothing further came of it, of course.

Now new sources claim Everton have registered their interest in signing the Leicester and former Manchester City striker Iheanacho.

Following their relegation to the Championship Foxes are, like Leeds United, braced for moves from Premier League clubs for their better players.

Newcastle are very keen on Harvey Barnes and James Maddison has been linked with moves away from the Kingpower Stadium too.

Iheanacho doesn’t quite fit into that category but he was a big money signing and has played reguarly in the top flight for both City and Leicester.

While the 26-year-old has his qualities, prolific goalscoring isn’t one of them. He managed only five last season, although the the majority of his performances were from off the bench.

There isn’t a lot more to say about this one and the rumours about Ineanacho can be added to all the others in an ever growing list of supposed transfer targets that emerge every day.

None of course ever seem to come to any fuition and we wait and wait for any concrete evidence that Everton will make further signings to add to Ashley Young before the transfer window ends.

This endless groundhog day process continues as each day brings more links and reports many of which like this one, are basically re-hashed from earlier stories.

Given how many players have left the club since the transfer window opened, if nothing else Sean Dyche has got to be worried that regardless of improved quality, at this rate he simply won’t have enough bodies to cope with another demanding Premier League season.
