Everton set £12m asking price for ace who is expected to knock down foreign offer
Everton winger Demarai Gray seems to be one of the most wanted Everton player as Premier League clubs and Saudi Arabian clubs continue to circle around him. Everton could cash in on the Jamaican who has just 12 months left on his deal.
Everton signed Arnaut Danjuma on loan as Sean Dyche has managed to reinforce the wings as well as the centre forward position thanks to the Dutchman’s versatile skills. Danjuma can play on the flanks as well as a striker but he will be more dangerous on the left wing.
With Danjuma’s arrival, Dyche has Dwight McNeil, Alex Iwobi, Gray and Danjuma as possible out wide options. Wilfried Gnonto is another name heavily touted to join EFC this summer and his potential arrival could see five wingers in the squad.

EFC also need to strengthen other areas and given their lack of cash injection in the transfer budget, selling players to raise funds seems the easiest and the quickest ways to bring in income. Gray could possibly leave this summer as EFC could pocket huge profit from his sale.
Fulham were one of the first teams to register interest in the Jamaican. Soon Saudi Arabian Pro League side Al Hilal were in contact with Gray and Everton. Crystal Palace also became keen on Gray as they look to bolster their attack. With Wilfried Zaha leaving on a free transfer and joining Galatasaray, Palace are eyeing his replacement and hold strong interest in the 27 year old.
Talks were expected to intensify in the coming days and as things stand, even EFC seem to be ready to part ways as they have set an asking price for the Jamaican. According to journalist Jacque Talbot, Gray is expected to reject an offer from Saudi Arabia and join Crystal Palace. The Toffees have set an asking price of £12 million and they player wishes to remain in England as his family is well settled in the UK. Talks between Everton and Palace are expected to take place this week.
Gray was signed for a mere £1.7 million, so selling him for £12 million will see EFC pocket a huge profit. The player is not a starter under Sean Dyche but has been a valuable presence off the bench. Perhaps, Gray’s sale could allow EFC to push for Gnonto.
