Everton winger Demarai Gray is having no shortage of admirers and suitors this summer. The Jamaican winger could leave Goodison Park this summer as the player has just one year left on his current deal and the Toffees are working on bringing wingers to the side.

Arnaut Danjuma has already been signed on a loan deal but his arrival does give Sean Dyche plenty of option to play with in the attack. The Dutchman is effective on either flank and can also operate as a centre forward. Danjuma would prefer to play on the left flank but it remains to be seen where Dyche deploys the 26 year old.

EFC are also working on signing Wilfried Gnonto from Leeds United as the Italian speedster will add definite pace to the attack. If Gnonto arrives at Goodison Park, Dyche will have a total of five wingers at his disposal. Hence, Gray’s departure may not cause a lot of concern in terms of squad depth.

Besiktas interested in Everton winger Demarai Gray but face Crystal Palace competition

Since the start of the summer transfer window, the 27 year old is attracting interest from several teams in England and abroad. Fulham were interested in Gray before Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal rushed in and even met with Everton to discuss a potential move for Gray. Crystal Palace bid farewell to Wilfried Zaha as the Ivorian left as a free agent.

In search of a replacement, Palace have Gray high on their priority list. Talks were expected to intensify in the coming days with EFC even setting a price tag of £12 million for the Jamaican winger. According to Turkish outlet Sabah, Besiktas have been linked with a move for Gray. Kara Kartallar have shown interest in the 27 year old but there is no shortage of competition as three Premier League sides – Crystal Palace, West Ham United and Fulham are also keen on the former Leicester City attacker.

Gray scored a total of six goals last season and has been an important part of the side for the last two seasons. He arrived for a mere £1.7 million and selling him this summer would see EFC generate a big profit which could be used for another signing. Gray is not slated to have a starting role under Dyche, especially after Danjuma’s arrival, so an exit from Goodison Park could well be on the cards.
