It seemed as if Everton had found a new high under Moyes, having started the season 8 games unbeaten, advancing into the next round of the league cup, and sitting pretty in fifth. Taking a deeper look after, to put it lightly, a rather bleak performance against Chelsea, times are rather tough for The Toffees at the moment.
Pedro Neto was on the scoresheet twice for Xabi Alonso's Chelsea side who are looking like solid contenders this year, with Everton hardly having a sniff throughout the 90 minutes.
It was coincedentally after the hosting of Chelsea last season that started the downfall, as Iliman Ndiaye's wonder-goal capped off a 3-0 thumping. Moyes has admitted his frustrations in pre-match press conference before Chelsea following Everton's start to the campaign, stating "We should've won the game at Hull... big misses and big chances are a part of that".
"We've had to show a bit of resilience coming behind from some games," he added, with no better time than the present to add three points.
Moyes has since remained quiet on team selection in this week's press conference, hoping that he can surprise Arteta and give him no clues on players. "We've got our share of bits and pieces and we'll keep them quiet".
His reason for privacy is unknown, however since revealing Norgaard's fitness levels as rather unstable yet still opting to use him as a substitute against Chelsea, it could play a factor in his decision.

"There's been better media coverage of Everton in the last year" Moyes explained, displaying his pleasure with the progression of the club under the current owners and with the new stadium.
Everton travel to London for a 3pm black-out kick-off against the current Premier League champions, with Richarlison's solo goal in 2020 remaining the last time the Blues walked away with a victory at The Emirates.
2 wins in 14 Premier League matches is where Everton stand currently, and with no unbeaten record to fall back on, the light is shed on the lack of wins, with Moyes desperate to turn even draws into three points.
