Everton add a vital and modern twist to Hill Dickinson Stadium

The club announced last week that they're looking to make the experience at the new stadium as friendly for all supporters as possible.

Everton are set to move into their new, state-of-the-art stadium at Bramley Moore Dock, with Hill Dickinson Stadium being ready for the opening of the 2025/26 season.

The stadium has been in the works for many years, and the time has finally come for the move to happen, with players and supporters alike looking forward to the opportunities a new ground can offer.

Hill Dickinson is going to be filled with a plethora of match day amenities, with the most recent being a pub in the Village Street section of the stadium that was named by fans (and sounds very familiar to those here at PRT).

Last week, the club announced another massive improvement to the stadium's gameday experience: a special commentary team especially for fans at Hill Dickinson who are visually impaired. The Liverpool Echo reports that Everton will join clubs like Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Fulham who offer this service through a company called Alan March Sport (AMS).

According to AMS' website, the service is offered via "two commentators...equipped with headsets, plugged into a short-range radio transmitter" and that the supporters "arrange collection of a receiver, plug in their own standard headphones and will immediately be connected to the commentary."

The Echo's article also notes that AMS is looking for parties who are interested in joining the commentary team should reach out to the company.

This innovation is important in allowing Everton to make the matchday experience as inclusive as possible, and it is good to see the club taking the steps to ensure the quality of the day will be top-notch for everyone.
