The cadre of kits is now full for Everton Football Club's 2025/26 campaign, as the third kit was released this morning.
Designed by the club's kit maker, Castore, the shirt and shorts are both primarily black, with prominent splashes of blue and yellow, said to reflect the flow of the water on the River Mersey, a theme that carries over from the home kit that was released earlier this summer.
The shirt also features the silhouette of Prince Rupert's Tower badge that the club has been using on its change kits for the last several seasons.
The design is also said to be inspired by Liverpool graphic artist Neil Keating, a street artist whose art can be found throughout the city.
The corresponding goalkeeper kit was also released, a bright orange shirt and short combination with a pattern exactly like the other two 'keeper kits, previously in green (home) and black (away).

The black shirt, featuring Prince Rupert’s Tower icon on the chest, incorporates an abstract blue and yellow pattern that repeats through the body and mimics the flow of the river past Everton’s new stadium. 🤩
For a change shirt, it's a decent option, although the creativity of just taking the concept of the home kit and modifying it slightly in terms of colors and the exact pattern of the lines isn't terribly thoughtful. Sure, it's good that Castore are leaning into narratives focused on the new stadium, but it's almost as if they couldn't come up with anything besides the river as a symbol for Hill Dickinson.
It's a shirt that probably won't see much use this season, as there's enough contrast between the home and away kits for the black alternate not to see the light of day much, and the club's recent usage of its third kits has been fairly minimal.
Here's hoping the rumored fourth kit will really do something fun and different with the look. Because while the away kit is spectacular and home kit is growing on me, the full lot of the trio isn't the best we've seen.
