These past few days have been riddled with rumors and movements regarding Everton's senior team. Idrissa Gana Gueye has officially re-signed with the team, Thierno Barry is set to arrive according to Fabrizio Romano, and Everton are still looking for options at right wing, right back, and midfield.
Internally, however, there have been signings. As of the time of writing, Everton have signed four youth players to professional contracts in the past few days, marking a significant stage in the careers of these young talents.
The first youth academy graduate announced was midfielder Harvey Foster. According to Everton's website, the midfielder made 19 appearances and scored six goals this past U18 Premier League season. For a midfielder, that type of efficiency as a midfielder can definitely make him a standout player in the future.
The second player who put pen to paper was center-back Luca Davis. Although he featured in 23 league games for the U18s, he also played in a handful of U21 games at Goodison Park. He featured in the Liverpool FA Senior Cup, a competition that Everton ultimately won.
Striker and Scotland youth international Ceiran Loney was the third player to sign a pro contract. He joined Everton last season and scored four goals in 19 appearances for the U18 Toffees, including a goal against Wolves in the FA Youth Cup at Goodison Park.
The last player to sign a pro contract out of this bunch was Aled Thomas. The Wales defender made 15 Premier League 2 appearances and had five goal contributions. He was also part of the Everton squad that won the Liverpool FA Senior Cup and also captained Everton's first-ever game at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
All of these players signed two-year contracts that finish after the 2027 season, giving them two years to prove that they belong in the professional setup here at Everton.
For their sake and Everton's sake, we wish them good luck as they try to improve on their performances from last year. Who knows? Maybe one of these guys will go on to get their senior debut next season under David Moyes.
