The 2024/2025 Premier League season is now in the rearview mirror and teams will now look to improve their standing in the league for next season via the summer transfer window.
It's a split window this season, since the summer includes the Club World Cup, meaning there will be a 10-day period of signings allowed starting on June 1 until 7 PM UK time on June 10 (for all clus except Manchester City and Chelsea, who are participating in the Cup), with a break in transfers for the competition.
The window will then reopen on June 16 and close again until the winter on September 1, also at 7 PM UK time.
With the final table confirmed after Sunday's matches, it also means that each club knows the prize money it earned due to its finish in the league. There is roughly a £3 million difference between each place, with champions Liverpool earning £56.4 million and relegated Southampton receiving £2.8 million for their troubles.
In Everton's case, the prize money amounts to £22.5 million in funds they can add to their transfer budget or use for whatever needs the club has at the moment.
The expectation is that because of the new ownership in place at the club and expected increased revenues due to the new stadium that Everton will have money to spend, which the prize money will only help to increase.
But pragmatism will still be required, as David Moyes looks to build the squad and fill holes left by departing players.
Rumors will continue to fly throughout the summer months, so keep an eye on Prince Rupert's Tower for all the news and analysis you need during the break.
