It's been a season-long focus for Everton Football Club, but the final match (at least for the men's first team) at Goodison Park is coming on Sunday, with Southampton having the honor of serving as the Toffees' final opponent.

Everton manager David Moyes will have important decisions to make about his matchday squad, with winning the final match a desire for all parties, not to mention the financial impact of finishing as high as possible, which a victory on Sunday would all but confirm.

That means, for the most part, that sentiment will go out the door in favor of fielding the best side that he can, with an attempt to defeat what will likely be a very defensive-minded Southampton squad.

Here's how we think that Everton will lineup on Sunday against the Saints.

Goalkeeper & Defenders

Jordan Pickford (GK): Nothing to see here. He had a little scare against Fulham, but recovered and will be between the sticks for the Toffees on Sunday.

Vitalii Mykolenko (LB): Whether the Ukrainian has a long-term future as Everton's left back remains to be seen, but he's been solid as a defender, even if his offensive game is limited going forward.

Jarrad Branthwaite (CB): No questions here, either. Here's hoping he's interested in a new contract that keeps him at the club for years to come now that PSR limitations won't force a sale this summer.

Jake O'Brien (CB): Moyes noted in his press conference that the Irishman is fit again after missing the Fulham match with a knee injury. He should slide right back in next to Branthwaite.

Seamus Coleman (RB): Yes, I said sentiment should be out the window for this match. Almost all of it. To me, getting Coleman out as captain to lead the squad out for the final match at Goodison is the one caveat to that. Sure, it's a risk that you assume a substitute because he can't go 90, but give him an hour and let him come off to a mighty roar from the Goodison faithful.

Midfielders

Idrissa Gana Gueye (CDM): It's worrying that he hasn't signed a new deal yet, but as long as he's here and fit, he's the man bossing the middle of the pitch for me.

James Garner (CM): I don't think he's the best option here, and I wouldn't be shocked if this is Abdoulaye Doucoure, who deserves his own Goodison sendoff for his service to the club, but Everton will need someone who can help break down Southampton's low block, something Garner can accomplish.

Charly Alcaraz (CAM): Anyone who doesn't think this kid should be an Everton player for a long time isn't paying attention. Should be helpful in the possession that Southampton will allow Everton to have throughout the match.

Forwards

Iliman Ndiaye (LW): I switched Ndiaye and Alcaraz last week, but Moyes appears to prefer the Argentinian centrally, although there is a great deal of fluidity with the Senegal international as well. I like Ndiaye to score, too.

Dwight McNeil (RW): To my mind, you have to keep trying this setup to see if McNeil can be your starter on the right wing heading into next season. There is still probably room to improve at the position, but McNeil will be part of the mix.

Beto (CF): I don't know if Moyes prefers Beto to Dominic Calvert-Lewin, all things being equal. But the England international won't be under contract in a few weeks, and Beto will. So I suggest you continue to go with the player you think will be here and, frankly, who has scored more effectively this season.
