Football fans have been itching for the return of domestic action, with international weekends often feeling like a drag unless there’s a major tournament on. For many, fantasy football helps bridge the gap, making every Premier League fixture matter just that little bit more.

Everton have enjoyed a strong start to the 2025/26 campaign, and that success is reflected in the fantasy points their players have been racking up. As always, there have been both winners and losers from the opening month.

Under David Moyes, the Toffees picked up two wins from three, with crucial victories over Brighton and Wolves. Those results not only boosted Everton’s league position but also provided valuable returns for FPL managers who backed their attackers and defenders early on.

High points at a bargain

Jack Grealish was the standout performer of August, with his flair and consistency turning into pure FPL gold. The winger collected 22 points across the opening three fixtures, quickly establishing himself as one of the month’s most reliable midfield options.

The England international has flourished under David Moyes, seemingly freed from the tactical restraints of Pep Guardiola’s system. With more creative license, he’s been able to take on defenders confidently and has linked up impressively with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Even so, he still sits behind Arsenal’s Ricardo Calafiori, who tops the overall standings with an impressive 28 points. Defenders dominate the early leaderboard, with clean sheets, bonus points, and the occasional goal proving to be the real difference-makers for managers in the know.

Just behind the leaders come Jordan Pickford (18 points) and Iliman Ndiaye (17), both proving popular selections. Pickford has rewarded those who trusted Everton’s defence, while Ndiaye looks like one of the bargain finds of the season so far, delivering big returns at a budget price.

James Garner is arguably one of the biggest surprises on the list, with a clean sheet and a goal against Brighton propelling him to fifth in the standings, level on 16 points with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

However, the former Leicester City and Chelsea midfielder may be the more reliable pick moving forward. Garner’s spot is under increasing pressure, with Vitalii Mykolenko returning to fitness and Merlin Röhl emerging as the likely favourite to partner Idrissa Gana Gueye in central midfield, leaving him competing for the right-back role with Jake O'Brien.

With three favourable fixtures in their next four Premier League matches, now could be the ideal time to put faith in Everton players to deliver FPL returns.
