Everton’s home and away kits for the upcoming season have been leaked on social media, although the club has yet to officially confirm or unveil the designs.
The first glimpse of the new royal blue home kit appeared on X (formerly Twitter) and various fan forums in early May, with Everton Extra seemingly verifying the leak by now sharing additional images.
The home shirt features a darker blue, wave-like horizontal pattern across the front, possibly a nod to the Mersey waters and the club’s historic move to their new home at Bramley-Moore Dock. The look is completed with a sleek overlapping round neckline, adding a modern touch to the classic design.
The rumoured away kit stems from a lesser-known Everton source and should be taken with a pinch of salt, especially considering the account in question has mocked up leaked kits using in-game PlayStation designs. Until more reliable sources emerge, fans would be wise to remain sceptical of this new design.
That said, the design marks a departure from last season’s black-and-yellow away strip. Instead, it takes cues from the previous third kit, featuring a similar neutral base tone but swapping the pinstripe details for a cleaner look and increasing notice on the bold navy blue accents for the sponsor logo and kit manufacturer branding.
The away kit delivers a much cleaner, more refined aesthetic than the home strip, and honestly, it’s one I can fully get behind. You can easily imagine the Toffees turning out in style on the road at grounds like Chelsea, Brighton, and perhaps even Crystal Palace next season.
By contrast, the leaked home kit has stirred up a far more intense reaction online.
Social media has been flooded with criticism, with many fans venting frustration at both the design and kit manufacturer, Castore Sports. Comments like “The sooner Castore go, the better,” “Castore need binned ASAP,” and “This could be the worst home shirt in the club’s history if it’s real,” reflect a fanbase deeply unimpressed with what’s been shown so far.
Amid the wave of disappointment, a few positive voices have broken through, with some fans suggesting the kit might be a "grower," and a minority already expressing their love for the bold design. It's clear opinions are divided, but the conversation is well and truly alive.
While we wait for official confirmation, one thing remains certain: Evertonians will support the club no matter what kit they wear. Hopefully, this new shirt marks the beginning of an exciting era, one filled with fresh faces, renewed ambition, and a strong start at the new stadium.
