Game used for reference: Fulham 3-0 Wolves, 2025/2026 Premier League, Round 10
Fulham are a team that surprisingly likes to control possession of the ball. They control possession at a 50.2% rate, but they’ve struggled to turn that possession into consistent chances, scoring 12 goals and giving up 14.
Alex Iwobi, a former Evertonian, is one of the key contributors for Fulham this season. He has three goal contributions so far this season and has been a consistent player for Marco Silva’s side. If Everton want to beat Fulham, they’ll have to shut down one of their former stars.
Adama Traore, who previously played for Barcelona, is also a part of Fulham’s attack, and I could see Vitalii Mykolenko struggling to hold him back due to Traore’s physicality. Games like this are the ones that Everton could really use someone like Jarrad Brainthwaite to cover for Mykolenko and offer some stability.
Fulham’s defense isn’t the greatest, so this game could prove to be a gamechager for Beto or Thierno Barry, who have both struggled mightily this season to score goals. A good performance from either of them against an iffy defensive line could catapult them into the middle part of the season.
Jack Grealish has been fine for a few matches now but hasn’t been a difference maker. With Iliman Ndiaye turning eyes, Grealish could use this opportunity to demand more of the ball in the final third. If he starts scoring goals, Everton could skyrocket up the table.
Everton’s home record is pretty good, so I expect them to pick up three big points and get back on track.
