Why is Iliman Ndiaye's goal celebration ingrained in our minds? Because he's consistently scoring goals.

The 25-year-old has had a roaring start to the season for Everton. His move to the right wing to facilitate Jack Grealish hasn't caused any major issues. If anything, it's taken defensive pressure off Ndiaye and let him run loose.

The Senegalese international has four goal contributions in seven games so far this season, and became the first Toffee to score at the Hill Dickinson stadium in the Premier League. But what's behind his finger-wagging goal celebration?

Ndiaye spoke to Everton's social media channels about the gesture:

"So obviously, I've done it with my Dad since I was young, since I first started football. And then I just kept it through. So it kind of meant, like, you know, the fire trucks, something like that? Like, it's got that siren thing that goes around. So it's like, I put fire into the stadium. Call the fire people to put out the fire. So that's what it is. "

His celebration might have an unintended crossover. A siren famously blairs out over the tannoy before Z-Cars is played pre-game at Everton matches. The surround of the Hill Dickinson helps it to be heard across the River Mersey.

So, next time you see Iliman Ndiaye and his patented celebration, you'll know where it came from.
