Jan-Niklas could be Beste bet for Everton in winger search
The German winger is apparently on the radar of a number of clubs both in the Italian Serie A and in other European leagues, including possibly Everton.
Beste is a 25-year-old wide attacking player who has some strong statistics and looks a talented and very productive player.
He scored eight goals and made eleven assists last season and seems a very versatile and effective forward who can operate on either flank or more centrally. In addition, he appears as though he can contribute defensively.
Compared to Jack Harrison in particular and Dwight McNeil, Beste is an almost totally different type of wide attacker and that is an interesting aspect of this situation.
In an ideal world he would make a good bet for the Blues and it could be a deal worth pursuing, but in truth this one could be hard to pull off given the club's financial problems and I doubt whether a transfer for this player would ever happen.
In other news one rival Premier League club are circling a player I have previously flagged as an individual that Everton should be monitoring and showing an interest in: Jack Clarke.
Newly promoted Southampton are supposedly keen on adding the Sunderland star to their squad as they can now offer him Premier League football.
Clarke is one of a number of forwards currently playing in the Championship that seem worth the Toffees taking a closer look.
He has also produced decent numbers and would certainly appear to be a more affordable target for a club like the Toffees facing such financial problems.
Having saying all that the two players are both rated as worth around £13 million according to Transfermarkt.
These stories and rumours are bound to continue with just a few days left until the transfer window opens in June. Anyone want to bet any of these players will be arriving at Goodison Park?
