Everton are clearly focused on improving their attack, coming off a season where they managed just 42 goals in 38 Premier League matches, an output that was better than only the three relegated clubs this season.

So it makes sense that we've seen plenty of links to strikers and other goal-scoring players in midfield and on the wings coming from all over the world. It's at least nice to see that most of the moves involve young, on-the-rise players who could be stalwarts at Everton for years to come should they make the move to Merseyside.

One such player is reportedly off the market, however, as German forward Nick Woltemade is going to stay at Stuttgart next year, according to sources mentioned by Harry Watkinson at TEAMTalk.

The original source, Julian Agardi at Bild, indicated that despite the interest from the Premier League side, Woltemade is happy to stay at Stuttgart, where he is under contract until 2028, and continue to build upon his impressive 2024/25 season, which earned him his debut for the German Men's National Team for this summer's UEFA Nations League.

The striker scored a hat-trick for the German U21 squad in the U21 Euro tournament opener this week, so he continues to make a name for himself.

But, at least for now, he'll continue to build his resume at Stuttgart. Maybe the options for stepping up into the Premier League were not as intriguing to him, and he's opting to see if he can move to a preferred destination with another top performance with the German side.

Either way, Everton will need to turn their attention elsewhere to spark their attack, something they may already have done. The good news is they are aware of the need for more goals, and so the search will continue as the transfer window moves along.
