Borussia Gladbach strike Tim Kleindienst is reportedly up for sale this summer, with Everton, alongside Tottenham and West Ham, in the race for his signature.

The striker situation at Everton is very much in flux, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin out of contract (and possibly interested in a new deal), Armando Broja due back to Chelsea when his loan ends after the final match, leaving just Beto and Youssef Chermiti at the position.

But the young Chermiti hasn't had many opportunities and, at just 21 years old in a few weeks, could due for a loan spell so he can log some minutes; while Beto, after a stirring start to David Moyes' Everton return, has been up and down as a finisher.

Additions will need to be made at center forward, but the question will be whether Moyes will lean on Beto and seek depth or if the Portuguese striker will be pushed out by a new starter.

Enter the Kleindienst rumor, which comes from Saikat Chatterjee at Caught Offside. The sale may be predicated on Gladbach qualifiying for Europe next season, as they are currently five points off the final spot, held by RB Leipzig with just two matches to play.

Chatterjee reports that the fee could fall between "€30-35 million" for the German striker, who'll turn 30 at the end of August.

It's been an excellent season for Kleindienst personally, his first with Gladbach after joining from a second spell at Heidenheim, with the striker bagging 16 goals and seven assists in 30 Bundesliga matches.

This season follows two prolific seasons at Heidenheim, including 25 goals in their promotion season in 2022/23 and 12 last season in the club's return to the German top flight.

He's been capped six times by Germany, as well, scoring four goals in the most recent UEFA Nations League competition.

The question will be whether he can make the jump to the Premier League and maintain some level of success, something Moyes and his transfer board will need to decide before making a serious bid to the German club.

Striker will certainly be on the long menu of upgrades for Everton to make this offseason, so expect these rumors to keep coming through the summer.
