Everton Loan Report

Aiden McGeady – Sheffield Wednesday – Wednesday were held without a goal in a 0-1 loss to Rotherham who are fighting to stay out of the relegation zone while Wednesday are in 6th place. McGeady started, but only played until halftime as he has dealt with an ongoing leg injury and was unable to have a major impact on the game. He was a threat going forward and had some good shots blocked and almost was able to create a goal with a good through pass, but Michael Turner, the fullback, was caught offsides.

Conor McAleny – Wigan Athletic – McAleny started at right midfield in a 0-0 draw against Millwall and was subbed off in the 65th minute. In a 1-1 draw against Peterborough, McAleny started at CAM and was subbed off right before halftime. McAleny’s natural place is striker and he has played that in the past for Wigan and the youth team, but recently he has been inserted in a variety of positions and proves to be a very versatile player.

Jonjoe Kenny – Oxford United – Kenny started and played a full game at fullback in dominating 4-0 win vs York City and contributed to the clean sheet held by his side. Kenny started again in a 2-2 draw against Plymouth Argyle as well and has received a large amount of game time witch is great for the development of the youngster.

Shani Tarashaj – Grasshopper Zurich – In the past week, Tarashaj and the Grasshoppers have not played, but are playing today against FC St. Gallen if anybody is interested. Grasshopper have dropped to third behind the BSC Young Boys, but have a game in hand.

Against Exeter in a 0-1 loss, Ledson started and was subbed off in the 60th minute. Ledson had his loan extended by another month at Cambridge United due to his amazing form.

David Henen – Fleetwood Town – Henen did not play in games against Sheffield United and Gillingham due to a hamstring injury. He has returned to Everton to receive treatment for the injury and looks to play again soon.

Luke Garbutt – Fulham – Garbutt started and played a full game at fullback against Reading in a 2-2 draw. He has regained his good form in recent games and turned in a decent performance against Reading.
