The Lyon winger is more of a long shot. Rachid Ghezzal turned down an offer to join Everton in the summer but the 24-year-old has confirmed he’s unlikely to renew his Lyon contract. Ghezzal scored 10 goals last season, a decent return from a winger.

But he has sputtered out of the gates so far this season, only scoring one goal. Maybe his poor form is due to his growing discontent with the French side. But this would be a gamble. And it’s a risk not worth taking, especially considering the Algerian has already previously snubbed the Toffees.
