From the beginning, Farhad Moshiri who is the majority shareholder at Everton, made his intentions clear to fans: we were going to try to keep our best players, and build a new stadium. Due to previous experiences with promises and plans, most fans were skeptical and slow to trust anyone making such delicious statements, but Farhad delivered. Now we are seeing even more evidence that Moshiri is a man of his word.
A testament to the will and influence of Moshiri is the fact that Lukaku is still here, and he no longer talks poorly of us every time Belgium play. To clarify, Moshiri silenced the megaphone-wielding Raiola, something I’m not actually sure has ever happened before. With John Stones we can’t be overly critical of his failings to keep him, Stones is designed to play in a Guardiola side, we got very good money for him, and honestly I think most Toffees would rather have Ashley Williams instead.

There are currently reports that Everton may receive large investment to help with undergoing plans to build a new stadium at Bramley Moore Dock. The deal will likely contain some form of naming rights for the unidentified investors, as is usually the case for these sorts of deals. Moshiri sticks to his initial focus, that the betterment of the squad comes before all else. If necessary, Everton can play their games in my back garden, no worries lads, I’m with Moshiri on this; before big new shiny and floating stadiums, comes securing quality players in the transfer window.
With the pinnacle of television deals being secured for English Football, the time to spend money and invest in your squad is now. If there was ever a time to break into the elite of the league, then it will be over the course of the next 5 years while the money is free flowing. In securing outside investment for the stadium, this allows more money to be spent on players, and also boosts Everton’s relationship with the City of Liverpool.
