Everton to offer Polish international Kamil Grosicki a lifeline
By Paul Taylor
Kamil Grosicki reportedly wants to remain in England and Everton are prepared to give him the opportunity to once again play in the Premier League.
As the people’s club, Everton are known for their generosity. Now, it appears they’re going to extend this generosity to someone in need.
Kamil Grosicki has rejected the opportunity to move to German outfit Freiburg, because he wants to continue playing in England. More specifically, he wants to continue playing in the Premier League, after Hull City were relegated last season.
This is where the Blues come in. As reported by the Mirror‘s Bill Cooper, Everton are prepared to offer Grosicki that chance to once more play in English football’s top division.
The 29-year-old is understandably eager to leave Hull City, but still has three seasons left on the contract he signed back in January. In addition, new manager Leonid Slutsky has claimed no more big names will leave during this transfer window.

However, considering Hull have already sold seven of their better players, what difference does one more make? All sarcasm aside, the Toffees will apparently offer the £7.7 million the Tigers paid Rennes.
Cooper reports that Crystal Palace, Watford and newly-promoted Newcastle United are also interested in Grosicki. However, Everton are seen as the favourites to sign him, with his representatives keen to open talks with them.
It should come as no surprise Ronald Koeman would like to sign the winger. Koeman attempted to recruit him, while he was manager at Southampton.
Despite not being able to save Hull from relegation, Grosicki made an impression in just 15 games during the second half of last season. This was highlighted by being named the PFA Fans’ Premier League Player of the Month for April.
The Polish international’s experience at the highest level could also prove important to Everton’s ambitions. He has played 50 times for Poland, including appearances at Euro 2012 and 2016.
