Everton are reportedly keen to sign Aston Villa youngster Keinan Davis, but will face major competition from Manchester United and Arsenal.

As we’ve discussed many time recently, Everton are one of the more committed clubs, when it comes to building and maintaining a successful youth setup. You only need to consider the fact they won the inaugural Premier League 2 title last season, for evidence of this.

Similarly, the Blues have not rested on their laurels, bringing in several promising youngsters during the Summer, to further strengthen their youth teams. In that respect, the latest speculation comes as no surprise.

As reported by The Mirror‘s James Nursey, Everton have been extremely impressed with the highly-rated Keinan Davis this season. As a result, they recently sent a scout to Aston Villa, to watch him in action.

Davis made his first team debut at the start of this year, going on to make seven total appearances during the 2016/17 campaign. This season he has started in fine form, making eight further appearances and scoring his first two goals for the club at the senior level.

However, as you’d expect, the Blues will face stiff competition for Davis. According to Nursey, Manchester United and Arsenal are also interested in signing the forward.

The Stevenage-born youngster started his career with the Boro’s academy, before moving to Biggleswade Town F.C. He went on to sign a professional contract with Villa in December 2015, after impressing during a four-week trial with the club.
