We have another set of transfer rumours involving Everton to bring you today. There are more reports that the Blues are looking closely at Watford’s Richarlison, while the Turkish football press are suggesting that the club are monitoring a midfielder playing in Germany.

Bakalorz currently plays in the German Bundesliga for Hanover 96. Everton have according to Turkish-football.com been watching the player with a view to making a move in the next transfer window.

This is another of those hard-to-believe transfer rumours that are always doing the rounds. Apparently Bakalorz is a defensive midfielder although he can also play in a more advanced role too.

Frankly it doesn’t seem as though Everton really need any more defensive midfield options.

The Blues have Idrissa Gueye, Morgan Schneiderlin and the injured James McCarthy all providing that sort of cover. And there’s also Muhamad Besic currently on loan at Middlesbrough.

Everton need more creative and goal-scoring options in the middle of the park. And that brings us on to the stories about the Watford attacker Richarlison.

Skysports.com are reporting that the Blues are one of several Premier Leagues clubs thinking of making a move for the Watford player.

Richarlison has enjoyed a fine first season in England and along with several other Watford players has been on the radar of a number of other clubs.

More from Prince Rupert's Tower

The Brazilian player has proven to be a real revelation, especially early in the season when Watford made a good start to the campaign. His and the team’s form have dropped off since then.

Everton would though face some stiff competition for his signature with Premier League big-spenders Manchester United and Chelsea. Once again we’ll see whether anything comes from this story later in the year.

The final transfer rumour that affects Everton today, involves another midfielder the former United player Shinji Kagawa. The Sun says that Kagawa wants a return to England and the Blues and West Ham United are the main destinations being touted for him.

Despite his unsuccessful spell at United a few years back, Kagawa has enjoyed a good period in Germany playing for Borussia Dortmund.

The paper claims that he is now looking for a return to England to prove his time at United was just a hiccup.

To be honest this one doesn’t seem to have much weight to it as I don’t think a 29-year-old player like Kagawa is someone the Toffees should be interested in.
