2.      Morgan Schneiderlin

Schneiderlin signed for Everton in 2017 after two sub-standard seasons at Manchester United.

This move was seen as a big chance for the Frenchman to bring his career back on track but after three seasons at Goodison Park it is safe to say that Morgan Schniederlin has failed to replicate his Southampton form. The 30 year old was sent out on loan at West Ham United but his struggles continued. He has never looked convincing in an Everton shirt under any manager. From Ronald Koeman to Marco Silva, Schneiderlin has remained a fringe player toiling to make regular outings on the field.

The wheel of Fortune turned in his favor when Ancelotti arrived at Everton. With Andre Gomes and Jean Phillippe Gbamin injured for a long spell, Schneiderlin made a comeback to the team. The defensive midfielder has played five games under the Italian coach and has achieved reasonable results. With the prolonged halt due to Corona Virus pandemic, Andre Gomes has returned to full fitness, meaning there’s a high possibility he’ll return to the starting line-up once the league resumes. With Napoli’s Allan linked with a move, it is time for Schneiderlin to look for greener pastures.

3.      Oumar Niasse

Niasse joined Everton in 2016 but after just six months he was informed by then coach Ronald Koeman to search for a new club. The management was anything but impressed by Niasse and felt like the £13.5 million was flushed down the drain. Loan spell at Hull City didn’t help much as Niasse has completely failed to understand the English Premier League. Another unsuccessful loan spell at Cardiff City further depreciated Niasse’s value. The Senegalese currently at Goodison Park is hoping to end this nightmare soon and sign for any club that can give him adequate playing time. As for Everton, they’ll be more than happy to offload Oumar Niasse even if that means to incur a significant monetary loss.

4.      Cuco Martina

A very similar story to Niasse, Cuco Martina too is one of the biggest Everton flops in recent years. The right back joined the Toffees in July 2017 and since then has been loaned multiple times. Failed loan spells saw Martina’s confidence hit rock bottom, with the player now desperate to find a way out. It is clear that the 30 year old is never going to make it to the Everton team especially with Seamus Coleman and Djibril Sidibe fighting for starting right-back spot. The sale of Martina will be a win-win situation for all parties.
