Everton are prepared to make an offer for Bologna midfielder Mattias Svanberg.
Everton have been in search of a central midfielder and have been linked to sizeable names like Allan, Adrien Rabiot and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. The latest name to be linked is another Serie A rising star with the name of Mattias Svanberg.
The Bologna midfielder has attracted a lot of Premier League attention with Bournemouth being the first team expressing their desire to sign the midfielder. However, Arsenal and the Toffees are the latest teams to join the chase.
Mattias Svanberg has impressed Carlo Ancelotti massively with his showings in the Italian league and the former AC Milan boss is already mulling over a transfer. After having no success in pursuing a deal for Matias Vecino, the Toffees are turning their attention to the Bologna player.
According to Forza Italian Football, Everton have leaped ahead in the race and already made it known to Svanberg that they are interested in his services. The club hierarchy has also conveyed the same to Bologna as Everton prepare an offer for the 21 year old. The Swedish international has made 17 Serie A appearances and has been a magnetic personality in the middle of the park.

The Merseysiders need to act quickly and launch an offer if they are seriously considering Svanberg. The Cherries offered €5 million loan fee with a compulsory option to buy by paying another €10 million if they survive the drop. Bournemouth are currently in the relegation zone and the hopes of surviving are grim.
I Rossoblu are expecting a bigger chunk of money for their talented midfielder and full payment up front rather than a loan deal or a deal with a compulsion to buy. Arsenal has just enquired about the 21 year old but has taken no noteworthy steps for signing the Swede.
Meanwhile, the report also added that Svanberg is open to leaving Italy and join a more powerful team in the Premier League. Mattias Svanberg could help the Toffees massively in their quest to improve squad quality.
The Swedish international is blessed with a strong right foot and has the ability to play anywhere across midfield, covering almost all positions except the No.10. This gives Carlo Ancelotti a variety of options to play with. All in all Mattias Svanberg is a good shout and Everton aren’t taking a huge risk, so they must fancy signing themselves in signing the Swede.
