Santiago Arias and Elseid Hysaj are possible targets for Everton.

2. Santiago Arias

The Atletico Madrid right back isn’t happy with his current playing time. Kieran Trippier appears to be Diego Simeone’s first choice. The matter is only going to get worse when Sime Vrsaljko returns to full action from injury. Los Rojiblancos won’t be keen to keep three right backs, especially when all belong in the same age group.

The current deal of Santiago Arias runs till 2021 and selling him this summer will be a logical thing to do. Everton may consider him as a solid option. The Colombian ticks a lot of boxes of a modern day full back.

Arias is composed on the ball, has an aggressive mindset when raiding forward while maintaining his defensive play. The 28 year old copes well in one on one situations and puts in occasional challenges. With just one year left on his deal, Santiago Arias may be available for a cut price of £10 million.

3. Elseid Hysaj

The Napoli right back who once was touted as one of the best rising names, is now lost in substitute appearances. Giovanni Di Lorenzo has won the trust of Gennaro Gatusso and made a total of 45 outings compared to Hysaj’s 24.

Elseid Hysaj has admirers in England and rest of Italy and a deal could be possible this summer. There have been no links with Everton but Marcel Brands must seriously think of signing the Albanian.

Hysaj provides width on the right flank and exploits any gaps available. The 26 year old is an expert in creating space and make slick passes. In the final third he has variety of weapons. He’s good at drifting inwards, better at crossing and best at cutting back. He doesn’t show signs of laziness while tracking back and remains close to his counterpart.

With his deal also expiring in 2021, Everton can snatch the Albanian from Napoli for a reasonable price.
