Everton transfer window: Loan, Keep or Sell
Leeds United are said to be keen on Fabian Delph.
Fabian Delph: It’s a 50-50 Keep or Sell
Sell because he has been missing games constantly because of injuries and niggles. Keep because Everton have lacked squad depth in the central midfield role. Leeds United were said to be interested in Fabian Delph. Should the Whites pay an adequate sum, Everton should relieve Delph of his duties at Goodison. Otherwise it won’t hurt the Toffees to have the former Manchester City player as a utility man.
Gylfi Sigurdsson: Sell
We all want the Icelandic to just vanish from Goodison Park. Selling Gylfi Sigurdsson should be the aim but sadly there will hardly be any takers for the 30 year old. If he is not sold, Sigurdsson’s abysmal previous season performances will eventually force him out of the team.
Andre Gomes: Keep
In the current crop of midfielders, he is probably the only one who deserves a starting spot in the team. On his day, he can absolutely boss the opponents; the only catch is that he needs to have more days of that sort. He had ab okaish season but you can’t criticize a player much who has just recovered from a broken ankle and was thrown into playing two matches a week since the restart.
Beni Baningime: Loan
Everton are working to bring quality central midfielders and in the process Beni Baningime may be sent out on loan to gain some minutes.
Muhamed Besic: Sell
Muhamed Besic has been told that he doesn’t feature in Ancelotti’s plans. Sheffield United were said to be interested in the Bosnian. The 27 year old is available for as little as £4 million and will be sold this summer.
Tom Davies: Keep
Tom Davies has been horrendous for Everton but there is also a faction of supporters arguing that he is not a central midfielder and that is why he failed to impact any games in whatsoever manner. The Merseysiders are likely to keep him but won’t be a regular starter for them next season.
Jean-Philippe Gbamin: Keep
You feel sad for Jean-Phillipe Gbamin. He has never got an extended chance to kick off his Everton career succumbing to one injury after another. The next season may be the time we are treated to the Gbamin we know from his Mainz days.
