The likes of Moise Kean, Alex Iwobi, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Sandro Ramirez and many others have bee placed on the Everton transfer list.

1. Player Sales

Everton has already spent a significant amount in the transfer market. There’s no doubt that each of the three signings: Allan, James Rodriguez and Abdoulaye Doucoure are justifying their price tags and performing up to the hype. However, no club can exist through a financial point of view by only making additions.

Player sales need to be made in order to generate funds and create space for new arrivals. Everton has 31 players in the squad, that’s almost equal to making three separate starting XI’s. More players mean overburdening of the wage budget.

Plus, it doesn’t help at all when a player like Theo Walcott, not a regular first team player, is one of the highest paid earners at the club pocketing £100,000 a week.

Mirror reported a few days back that Everton sporting director Marcel Brands is open to selling an entire shadow XI. Players such as Theo Walcott, Alex Iwobi, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Mo Besic, Sandro Ramirez, Moise Kean, Yannick Bolasie and Bernard are all mentioned in the report and are available for sale.

The club can’t simply sustain if they keep on adding players and don’t make sales. Managing a squad of 30 people is an arduous task and can often lead to severe complications and consequences. Wilfried Zaha won’t come for cheap and player sales will have to be made to generate funds and make space for new arrivals.
