The trio of Allan, Andre Gomes and Doucoure get a 7.

Midfield:

Allan: 7

Allan produced yet another unsung performance. He was always there, screening the back four and doing the much needed defensive work. However, it wasn’t the most imposing performances. Allan was on another level during the Tottenham Hotspur game. That being said, Allan is perfectly executing the job he has been given by Carlo Ancelotti.

There were a few moments when Everton were being overrun by Crystal Palace in the second half. Allan could have done slightly better in those moments but still, you can never expect every performance to A-grade.

Andre Gomes: 7

Andre Gomes displayed some excellent passing and distribution skills. His pass to Coleman during the buildup to the first goal was the highlight of his game. Gomes also retained the ball well and carried himself with elegance throughout the game.

light. More. £25 million Everton flop headed for Everton exit, Ancelotti gives green light for transfer

The Portuguese was substituted in the 75th minute for Gylfi Sigurdsson in order to give some freshness to the midfield. Many thought that he’ll be a weak link in this new midfield, he is proving them wrong and that too with style.

Abdoulaye Doucoure: 7

The last ditch challenge on Wilfried Zaha when the Ivorian was free on-goal was the best moment for Doucoure. When Everton were being overrun, it was Doucoure who showed his box to box quality and power and drove the ball forward. He did make a couple of mistakes though and was lucky to not be punished for that by Palace. Doucoure still seems to be settling in but is showing consistent positive signs.
