Seamus Coleman will return to the lineup.

Defence:

Right back: Seamus Coleman

Mason Holgate started against Sheffield United but Coleman is expected to return to his position. Even though Holgate has done a fantastic job, the Irishman‘s attacking runs and overlaps are being missed.

Centre back: Michael Keane

Michael Keane has been the most consistent performer for Everton this season and continues to impress with his rock solid defending. He has managed to overturn the tag of being unreliable and inconsistent and has been the leader in the defence line. He’ll have the responsibility to keep the likes of Sebastien Haller and Michail Antonio in check as both of the forwards have attacking aerial prowess.

Centre back: Yerry Mina

I would have gone for Holgate but considering the aerial threat that could be coming at Everton, Mina will be the perfect fit beside Keane. Mina has coped brilliantly and has managed to keep himself fit and running so far, even playing through the congested festive fixtures which is a huge plus point as, at one stage, Mina was one of the most injury-prone players at Finch Farm.

Left back: Ben Godfrey

Lucas Digne has started individual light training giving a huge boost to Everton but his return is still far meaning Godfrey will continue to slot in at left back. The former Norwich City man has done better job as a makeshift left back than regular left backs, showing his versatility and pedigree.
