Tom Davies is likely to get the nod ahead of Andre Gomes.

Midfield:

Central midfield: Abdoulaye Docuoure

Doucoure remains to be Ancelotti’s most trusted man in midfield in Allan’s absence as the Frenchman has shown that he can play the any role in the midfield. He can be the midfield anchor and guard the back four as well as surge forward and show his typical box to box character.

Central midfield: Tom Davies

Tom Davies was brilliant against Sheffield United and showed a glimpse of himself as a deep lying playmaker, always ready to excel forward with the ball. Davies is another player who has made considerable progress in the last six months or so. He has a lot of potential and after a turbulent last season, Ancelotti has managed to extract the best out of him.

Attacking midfield: Gylfi Sigurdsson

Sigurdsson was the solitary goal scorer against Sheffield, helping Everton walk away with all 3 points at Bramall Lane. The injury to James Rodriguez has allowed Sigurdsson to get an extended run in the team and become the chief creator in the middle of the park.

Sigurdsson looked tired in the Sheffield game but with an extended break, he should be fresh and raring to go.
