Everton will not settle for the €34 million offer by PSG for Moise Kean.

PSG Sporting director Leonardo was successful in signing Moise Kean on loan to add more fire to an already threatening attack of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Mauro Icardi. Icardi’s injury gave Kean a chance to show his potential and he grabbed his chance with both hands. Kean has revived himself in Paris after a barren and unproductive run at Everton.

The 20 year old has scored 10 goals in 17 appearances for the Ligue 1 giants so far and he’s not stopping just yet. Kean’s red hot form has convinced Leonardo that he is the right man to head the PSG attack in Icardi’s absence and will give tough competition to the Argentine. However, Les Pariseins do not have an option to buy in the current loan deal and will have to negotiate a transfer separately.

Earlier this week, it was reported that PSG are very serious about signing the Italian striker permanently and have started negotiations for the same. PSG are willing to offer €34 million (£31 million) for Kean’s services. Everton remain open to selling the former Juventus man as long as they recoup more than what they paid to the Bianconeri in 2019.

According to French publication Le10 Sport, the Kean soap opera won’t just settle in January and will go on till the summer transfer window. Despite being open to a sale, Everton want to wait till the summer to make a final decision on Kean’s future. Additionally, the report also adds that the current figures being discussed might not be enough to persuade Everton into agreeing to a transfer.

It will take more than €34 million for Everton to sanction the transfer. Despite being financially backed by one of the wealthiest organizations, PSG are very cautious of their spending mainly due to the ramifications of the Corona Virus pandemic. So, it remains to be seen how much more cash are the French team willing to splash.

If Everton eventually do sanction a sale, they’ll have to reinvest the amount from Kean’s sale into bringing another striker as Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s backup.
