Tom Davies and Andre Gomes had an awful game.

Midfield:

Andre Gomes – 4

Andre Gomes was slow, out of sync and struggled throughout the game, especially in the first half. His lack of ability to take control of the game in the middle of the park gave the Millers a chance to sting Everton. The Portuguese eventually recovered a little in the second half and extra time but this is not the kind of performance that will make anyone proud.

Gomes is going through a rough patch in his career and today’s display will not do much to aid his confidence.

Tom Davies – 4

Tom Davies and Gomes were probably the worst players on the pitch. Davies struggled on the ball, off the ball, made poor passes and failed to settle down. There was a short span of time where he showed promise but soon Davies retreated into the claws of mediocrity. An appalling performance from the 22 year old.

James Rodriguez – 6.5

James Rodriguez was given the freedom to play anywhere on the entire pitch as the Colombian kept on floating around to get involved in the play. He somewhat disappeared when Rotherham were constantly knocking on Everton goal. The 29 year old sprayed some beautiful passes and even registered a beautiful assist for the Doucoure goal in the extra time.
