Abdoulaye Doucoure scored the match winning goal in the last FA Cup game.

Midfield:

Central midfield: Abdoulaye Doucoure

Abdoulaye Doucoure received his fifth yellow card of the league campaign against Wolves, earning him an unfortunate suspension for the Leicester game. With him suspended for the Foxes tie, Doucoure is most likely to start. His presence in the midfield, especially during Allan’s absence, helps the Toffees gain control and allow more fluid movement.

Central midfield: Tom Davies

Tom Davies is the biggest beneficiary to Allan’s injury but his performances haven’t convinced many that he is the right alternative to the Brazilian. One moment, he’ll win a ball perfectly, make those exquisite turns in the midfield and the very next moment he’ll make a sloppy pass or just lose the ball. Davies’ performances are too volatile but he has shown signs of improvement.

Attacking midfield: Gylfi Sigurdsson

Even though James Rodriguez is match fit, Ancelotti might want to keep him fresh for the Leicester City fixture. Gylfi Sigurdsson has racked up some brilliant displays in the last month barring a couple of games, namely West Ham United. When Rodriguez was injured, the Toffees needed a creative leader and Sigurdsson stepped up when the team needed the most.

He’s played as a central midfielder, as a left sided midfielder but he feels at home when playing as an attacking mid behind the striker. As long as he plays efficiently and produces chances, we do not need to worry about his form.
