Defence

Right Back: Mason Holgate

Seamus Coleman had a decent game against Sheffield Wednesday and has had a fairly consistent season thus far for the Blues. He has shown himself to be more than capable of dealing with tricky attacking players, most notably against Heung-min Son on the opening day of the season.

However, Harvey Barnes offers a real threat and is somebody Everton will have to keep quiet if they are to come away from Wednesday’s game with a positive result. Mason Holgate has the skills to match up against the physicality of Barnes and may be a smarter choice to start at right back for the Blues tomorrow evening.

Centre Back: Yerry Mina

The Colombian centre back has been in great form for the Toffees in recent weeks and will be full of confidence after netting the third goal of the game against Sheffield Wednesday, with a typically powerful header from a James Rodriguez corner.

Mina has put in some assertive displays over the last couple of months and has shown himself to be a threat in both boxes, he will surely continue in the centre of Everton’s defence against Leicester City.

Centre Back: Michael Keane

Michael Keane was rested for the FA Cup tie against Sheffield Wednesday and watched on as Mason Holgate partnered Yerry Mina at centre back.

But Keane is expected to return to the starting line-up alongside Yerry Mina for Wednesday’s game. The former Burnley man has been of Everton’s best players so far this season and will surely be one of the first name’s on the team sheet for tomorrow’s important game.

Left Back: Lucas Digne

Like Michael Keane, Lucas Digne also missed Sunday’s FA Cup tie, although his down to carrying a slight knock. Ancelotti decided not to risk the Frenchman as he continues to work his way back up to full fitness after his ankle injury.

Ancelotti did reveal in his pre-match press conference that he is available for selection and he is expected to come straight back into the side at left-back, despite Ben Godfrey’s impressive recent form.
