Thorgan Hazard

We’ve seen how one Hazard performs in the Premier League, how would his brother perform?

Thorgan Hazard has the unfortunate honour of forever being in the shadow of one of the greatest Premier League footballers of all time, his brother Eden Hazard, but Thorgan is still a fantastic footballer and has arguably been the better of the brothers ever since his older brother’s move to Real Madrid.

This season hasn’t been the best for Thorgan, but that’s down to not playing enough in the Bundesliga, the 27-year old has only made 9 Bundesliga appearances this season for the underperforming Borussia Dortmund, who’re currently sat fifth in the Bundesliga table, but when Thorgan is firing he’s one of the most dangerous wingers in the Bundesliga.

Last season Hazard scored seven goals and dished out thirteen assists in 33 league appearances, with him being another example of a winger who can do almost everything. Just like his brother, Thorgan Hazard is a great goalscorer and creator, and his statistics perfectly back this up.

In the 19/20 campaign Hazard was shooting 1.5 times per game, along with completing 1.7 key passes and 1.5 dribbles, and in a team with players like Marco Reus and Erling Haaland, it’s clear Hazard is a very talented player if he’s trusted so much by the Dortmund staff.

One problem this season has been Hazard’s injury issues, with him missing 19 games through injury, and with Eden’s well documented injury history then it could raise concerns that his younger brother also has bad luck when it comes to injuries, the positive side of this is this will be the first time he hasn’t played 30 league games since 16/17, which more than likely means that this has just been an unfortunate season for the Dortmund winger.

One thing that could put Everton off is Hazard’s £28.8m valuation on TransferMarkt, and this could put the Toffees off due to his injury problems this season and the fact they may be able to get players like the previously mentioned Berardi for a similar fee. Hazard is a fanastic footballer and will more than likely be back at his best for the Euros, so it may be a good idea for Everton to take a look now before his value skyrockets.
