Allan and Tom Davies could constitute to make the Everton central midfield

Midfield:

Left wing back: Lucas Digne

When Everton lineup in a back three, Lucas Digne plays as a wing back and has the extra freedom to raid forward. His quality of crosses from the flanks are unmatched and quite simply irreplaceable. In recent games, Digne seems to have restricted his forward movement; the Frenchman needs to get involved in the attack more.

Central midfield: Allan

Allan missed the last two games and his absence was clearly evident. Everton lacked the surety and energy of an enforcer even though Tom Davies did a respectable job. The Brazilian sits in front of the back three and guards the defence while the full backs engage in forward runs. Allan’s return does ease pressure on others around him as the Brazilian monster mops up everything around him.

Central midfield: Tom Davies

Tom Davies must start ahead of Andre Gomes or Gylfi Sigurdsson in the midfield. The 22-year-old is in good shape and is performing as per expectations. He can switch his roles and be effective, something that he previously failed to do. With Allan back in the side, Davies would be a slightly forward whereas the former Napoli man will be the one staying deeper.

Right wing back: Seamus Coleman

Seamus Coleman has sprung up with solid performances one after other in the right wing back role. He made several forward runs in the last game and was more effective than Digne. Whenever Coleman plays in the wing back role, he excels.
