After we reported earlier on the story of a possible bid by Everton for Brentford’s Ivan Toney there are yet more rumours about other strikers who have been linked to the club.

The first and most headline-grabbing is Sergio Aguero, could the Manchester City and Argentina superstar be coming to Everton?

As everyone knows Aguero is probably leaving the Etihad Stadium this summer after enjoying a glittering career with the Sky Blues.

Well supposedly the Toffees have entered the race to try and persude him to move the 50 odd miles down the M62 motorway from Manchester to Merseyside.

The Blues have plenty of competition though with the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham also apparently considering a bid for him.

And after another home loss to Aston Villa this weekend, it looks less likly Everton will be able to offer European football, which might make all the difference in where he ends up.

I’d put the chances of this one happening as very low indeed and although he’s an outstanding finisher I would imagine the Blues aregoing to be looking at younger players if they’re considering signing a striker this summer.

Another of these players mentioned is Stuttgart forward Sasa Kalajdzic. The Austrian international is a giant of a man and was previously tentatively linked to Everton.

Kalajdzic has had a superb campaign in the Bundesliga and has netted fourteen times in twenty apperances for the mid-table side.

The exceptionally tall 23-year-old looks a little like the ex-England striker Peter Crouch when he was playing a decade or so back. Not the most aesthetically pleasing but still very effective.

Again like Toney he’s very good in the air and would offer similar sorts of strengths to Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Also like Toney he can apparently operate behind a front man as well.

I doubt he’s on the radar of Marcel Brands or Carlo Ancelotti, in fact I have no idea if they are planning to sign a striker although if Moise Kean leaves that will mean the Toffees would be pretty threadbare up front.

Another player we’ve mentioned in these round-ups before is also playing in German football and that’s the South Korean forward Hwang Hee-chan.

He’s a versatile forward who has only recently been linked with both the Blues and West Ham as potential Premier League suitors should he leave Red Bull Leipzig this summer.

These latest reports say that he will make a decision about whether he is going to stay in the Bundesliga or consider a move away, perhaps to England, when a new coach takes over.
