It is safe to say that Fonseca is a good tactician. He has won 9 trophies in his 16 year-long coaching career, with an impressive stint at Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine where he achieved a domestic double for 3 years straight. The Royal Blues are right now in that phase where they can be called as an underdog side that just needs a little more stability and identity to rival the big clubs in the Premier League.

With that being said this looks like a match made in heaven for both the parties involved. A new challenge is surely something that would intrigue Fonseca and the Merseysiders provide just that, he can build a foundation for years to come if he decides to join the Toffees.

With funds potentially coming in through the transfer budget as well as sales of some players at the club and new faces needed, Fonseca can choose a new identity and build a squad according to his vision. Rejuvenation is needed if a European spot is to be achieved next season for the Toffees and Fonseca can be just the man to deliver it at the Merseyside.
