Frank Lampard is on the verge of guiding Everton to safety

The survival mission that began with a home win against Newcastle United is now nearing its culmination. Frank Lampard’s side have picked up 11 points out of the last six games which has driven them out of the relegation zone and placed them comfortably above Burnley and Leeds United. Everton could potentially ensure Premier League safety for next season if Leeds United fails to win their game against Brighton and Everton pick up at least a draw against the Bees.

Lampard has infused fighting spirit and instilled belief among Everton players that looked ridiculously under confident. Senior players such as Seamus Coleman and Fabian Delph have stepped up and shouldered the responsibilities. Richarlison, Jordan Pickford, Alex Iwobi and Vitaliy Mykolenko have started delivering every game which has aided Everton’s cause.

The sweet Toffees of Merseyside will be without the experience and leadership of Delph who suffered a muscle injury against Watford. Ben Godfrey and Donny van de Beek are also closing in on their returns.
