Everton narrowly escaped relegation. Had the Toffees failed to secure their Premier League status, a fire sale would have been on the cards. The likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison are Everton’s most prized assets and there would have been a long list of clubs behind them had Everton failed to survive in the relegation battle.

With Everton securing Premier League football for next season, they have at least avoided a fire sale that often takes place after a club is relegated. However, Everton could still receive plenty offers for their talismanic duo. Only now, the Toffees will be better positioned in negotiations.

Calvert-Lewin had one of the most difficult seasons of his playing career as a series of injuries and niggles tore down his confidence. The striker did have a strong end to the season, scoring two goals in the last three games. He also scored the all important goal, the winner against Crystal Palace, which confirmed Everton’s stay in the Top Flight.

On the other hand, Richarlison has been one of Everton’s most dependable players this season. The Brazilian has been a selfless servant to the club, giving his all in every game. Richarlison has scored 10 goals and assisted another five assists in the Premier League. It is no rocket science to understand that Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison breathe life into this Everton side.

Arsenal want Everton duo Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Everton should be braced to receive bids for either of the two attackers or both of them. Clubs like Bayern Munich are already considering Richarlison as a transfer target. Calvert-Lewin has always been admired by Arsenal and Newcastle United.

According to GOAL, Arsenal continues to follow Calvert-Lewin despite his injury hit season and dip in form. Along with Calvert-Lewin, the Gunners are also keeping an eye on the situation of Richarlison and have already intimated his entourage in recent weeks.

The North London side are looking for a striker as Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette look set to leave Emirates this summer. Gabriel Jesus is said to be their prime transfer target but the names of Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin continue to be mentioned among the Arsenal hierarchy. Even Napoli striker Victor Osimhen remains on Arsenal’s shortlist.

In the coming days, interest in the Everton duo is only going to ramp up. With Real Madrid failing to sign Kylian Mbappe, the Los Blancos can launch an offensive for Richarlison, a player they have always admired.  The Toffees may have a hard time keeping both their talismans in the side for next season but if Frank Lampard manages to convince both the attackers, Everton will once again line up with a fierce attack.

The duo together cost Everton £51.5 million (Richarlison £50 million, Calvert-Lewin £1.5 million). If the need arises to sell either of them, the Toffees will be making massive profits from the sale which can be reinvested to build the team.
